Laboratory for laser interaction with materials and lasers

Group for laser interactions.

Head of the Laboratory:

  • dr Aleksander Kovačević, senior research associate

Researchers

  • dr Branislav Salatić, research associate

Research direction

  • The areas of the Laboratory research are physical processes emerging during the interaction of laser beams with materials. The processes lead to the modification of material characteristics on the surface as well as in the bulk. Using lasers of various types enable reaching different effects of modification aiming improvement of characteristics, forming of new structures and materials, applicable in different areas of development. By interaction, modification of surfaces and bulks of thin films of metals, graphene, dielectrics and biomaterials takes place, as well as the development of new types of lasers, like solid-state IR pulsed lasers.
